Feast Of Love on Hollywood at H4Hollywood.com

Harry Stevenson: There is a story about the Greek Gods; they were bored so they invented human beings, but they were still bored so they invented love, then they weren't bored any longer. So they decided to try love for themselves. And finally, they invented laughter, so they could stand it

Director Robert Benton who has just directed 11 movies in 35 years, has once again come up with a soul touching and close-to-reality drama.

Known for movies like Kramer vs. Kramer, this time he explores love and its various manifestations.

Harry Stevenson (Morgan Freeman) and Esther Stevenson (Jane Alexander) represent a genre which decides to fall in love, and luckily it's a right choice for them at first sight. They are ageing parents who are striving hard to get over their son's death. However, the loss does not take away what is between them... the love which is with them and as they say: "Because it is the two of us, it is important that we spend every moment loving each other as hard as we can."

Promises made at the altar, they keep them through thick and thin.

Bradley Thomas (Greg Kinnear) and Kathryn (Selma Blair) represent a couple who - though - have been together for more than 6 years, yet have not understood each other. Greg under the impression that he knows his wife, loves his wife, does what he thinks is the best for her, which is what makes his wife go start looking at another option.... this time it is a woman, who happens to be her true love.

Falling in and out of love, third time is a charm for him when he finally pays heed to an advice: "Jump, but with your eyes open."

The third and the youngest couple seem to justify the adage: "Love is a dream which makes life worth living."

Knowing that the partner: Oscar (Toby Hemingway) would die early, Chloe (Alexa Davalos) decided to not only get married to him but also carry their baby to keep his memory, and live through the times. Love which involves the ultimate sacrifice.

Brilliant performance by Morgan Freeman and Esther Stevenson, fit the characters to a T. The others have also given marvellous performances.

If you are in love, go watch it, it will give you an insight to the many things, the challenges that lay ahead - to make it work. If you are not and believe that "Love is a joke that nature plays on us to bring more screaming babies in to the world" - you must watch this movie to get another aspect of life, which believes in LOVE.
